Imagine a world without conflict, where opportunity is abundant and accessible to everyone.
Imagine a place where expression comes easily, and kindness and empathy reign; where growth is indefinite, human connection - essential, and knowledge is the ultimate power.
At the Barrio Planta Proejct (BPP) we encourage kids to use their imagination to become what they want to be in life, learning new ways to express themselves, advocate for others, and ultimately emerge as leaders of the community.
Meryxthel is an 11-year-old from San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua who has attended BPP's supplementary education programs since she was five years old. Mery and her parents are invested in her English as a Second Language (ESL) education so she can unlock infinite opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and fulfill her potential.
Mery is intelligent and participative in class, and wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She's also very active: she loves sports and is passionate about dancing. Without BPP, she may not have access to these programs that help her build her confidence, discover her strength and learn essential communication skills.
Since BPP's founding, we have provided education programs in ESL, the arts, and a wide range of electives to over six thousand children, indirectly impacting over 25 thousand members of the communities we serve.
This impact is possible only through the support of our generous donors. BPP is free to our families who otherwise may not have access to the opportunities we provide.
BPP is launching a campaign to raise $20k to cover the cost of enrollment for 20 children just like Meryxthel, so each and every one of them can have the opportunity to have the best futures they can imagine.
Small investments today bring us to a better future tomorrow.
